What is Pilates?

Pilates is a mind-body exercise developed in the 20th century by Joseph Pilates. It is designed to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and enhance mental awareness with an emphasis on core strength. Exercises are performed on either the mat or various pieces of equipment to promote balance in the body and create an overall healthy unit. During your session you will focus on lengthening and strengthening the muscles of your body while connecting to your breath and getting a great work out in. You will leave your sessions feeling stronger, more energized and clear minded!
